They would have had a rematch which Froch would have won, then he would have worked his way back to where he is now.
That was the fight before the Super 6. having no belt could well have cost him his place. No Super 6, no rematch.
I don't think it's inconceivable that he could have found a way back into the tournament. He would still have been worthy enough, he proved that since losing to Kessler.
In my opinion he would have still been invited to the Super 6. Entertaining, durable fighter from England, thats what Showtime wanted.
Maybe with all the drop-outs but by that time Taylor would have been out of the tournament and retired himself....;-)
Froch reckons not in his book. He says he knows he only got the invite to the Super 6 because he had the belt.
What did you think of the Froch book? I thought it was a bit disappointing to be honest. Wasn't expecting much, but thought it was a little dull.
You can't really say that for sure, if he had beaten Froch he may have gone on to beat AA. I would say Froch would have still been in the Super 6. It certainly wouldn't have been anything like as good without him.
yeah poor. The large type face made it an easy read but other than that it was pretty forgetable. The Kessler part was funny though, 3 pages of "I don't make excuses but....."
But you can? All I was saying was that a rematch and/or entry into the Super 6 was far from a given if Froch had of lost to Taylor.
