Holmes would have showed Tysons lack of 'testicular fortitude', Tyson might have got lucky early on, but after a few rounds Holmes would bring too much to the ring, so would have left Tyson so frustrated then Tyson would implode. 'strong in the arm but weak in the head'.

Early on possible Tyson ko, but after 3 rounds Holmes wins.

I suspect that Tyson would always have beaten Holmes to be honest.

I tend to see it the same way. IF Larry could make it base 5 or so, he could outlast Mike especially if they fight 15. However, Mike just might have had the style and power to put him away no matter when they fought.

I'd take 78/79 Holmes against the 88/89 Tyson. It would be a damn good fight, but I think Holmes wins.

Not easily answered. A nail biter. Probably a pick 'em, though I personally give an ever so slight edge to Holmes. Tyson could potentially get a KO, but if he doesn't, he's either going to lose a decision or get stopped late. Holmes could get caught, but even when he did, I see him being able to move, grab, fire back, and recover. I know many will say Tyson was a better finisher than the guys who hurt Holmes. But the counter argument is that Holmes was so fast, had good footwork, could clinch, had fantastic condition, very solid power, great timing, a solid chin, and great recuperative ability, top flight heart, and knew how to win the big one. He was the complete package. Can't ever count out a guy like that. Tyson was great at getting in on guys and making them miss as he advanced, then blasting them with really explosive blows. So a dangerous fight for Holmes, no doubt. Very fun and intriguing fight for sure.
