Larry might be too much for Mike in skills, but the thing I question is that punch he was hit with in 1988 could have hit Larry in 1982, and if it did and he was hurt, Mike would have probably finished him.

Larry ranks higher in the all time list but i think Mike would always beat him, maybe a bit later though, around 8 or 9 rounds

I suspect the same. Even though I think Holmes is better, it's one of those style issues. That said, I like Tyson early or Holmes by decision, I just happen to think the former is more likely to take place than the later.

I think Holmes would take this, he'd play it smart, keep distance, keep pumping that piston jab and keep moving his feet. If he got tagged hard he'd know to spoil and clinch his way to safety his very good chin and pure grit would keep him in this fight. This isnt the 38 year old, who hadnt fought in nearly 2 years who was just looking for a pay day.

Well Larry did at times have a problem with right hands and going down. If he went down with Mike one, Mike would not let him off the hook.

Holmes has the tools to get the job done but he tended to fall asleep and I dont think he could get away with that against a peak Mike Tyson. Remember Tyson had great speed in his prime.

Holmes would never fall asleep against someone like Tyson. Have a look at his focus vs the immensely hyped and feared power of Cooney. Tyson is a lot more frenetic than Cooney. Holmes will be on his game, it just depends if it's good enough.

Maybe. If he can stay alert he got the tools to beat Tyson.

He did fall asleep against Shavers who he knew was dangeroius. Shavers was no Tyson though. Weaver was just a sloppy performance by Holmes and I wouldnt gauge off of that one.
