What would Roberto Cammarelle's professional career look like?

    Sounds like a similar story to a lot of Cubans, Uzbekistans and Kazakhstans. Occasionally some turn pro but the majority stay dominating amateurs / WSB

    I think that's exactly the case.

    Looking at it, as unfortunate as it is for us fans of the pro game to miss out on top-tier talents, there's something to be said for states that take care of their fighters if they win, regardless of marketability.

    It doesn't help that there is minimal to no professional infrastructure to develop many of those guys. Cammarelle would've easily generated interest among top-tier promoters but, even today, there's a lot of world caliber amateurs who have zero interest from promoters because they come from the wrong country.
