Best Pac, Mayweather or the 168 top guys like Ward, Kessler, Froch.

So, since everyone's answer is pretty much move up and beat the best at 168 (and/or Mayweather and Pacquiao and others at 154), do you think he is capable of doing it?

You have idiots on here that say the Joe Cal is the best thing since sliced bread and now they say that Sergio, who has much greater potential than joe ever did, will not be considered great because of a weak record . . . lol.

Sergio is 36 and doesn't have time to be fighting the Darren Barkers of this world. :-(

Quit yelling about little guys not wanting to fight him, step up to 168, and make the rematch Pavlik wants his first fight.

I honestly don't think there's really anything he can realistically do. I don't think him stepping up to 168 is in his best interest.

What about retiring Hopkins at a catch-weight? (Maybe not realistic but what the hell, the guy doesn't have many options here.)

As weak as MW is right now I would say it's not possible. You could come up with a list of 50 (all time) mw's who would be favored in betting over him right now

Yes, because beating a shot Pavlik who he already beat would do so much for his legacy than the likes of Bute, Froch, Ward and Kessler.

Beat Sturm, Geale, Stieglitz, Kessler, Abraham, comeback Jermain Taylor, and then beat BHop at 168 if he can make it. Lineal MW title, followed by Lineal SMW would be enough for p4p 1 and hof and atg 90

froch, ward, bute, kessler, dirrell, they all have skills getting a few of these names and winning on his resume would make him a top 100 ATG, but whining about how smaller guys won't fight you is not going to get you there.

Move up to heavyweight and win a 120-106 over Wlad.
Knock Vitali out in first round on multiple knockdown.
And destry everone in division below that.

Come on is this a joke???? The guy was losing to pavlik till pavlik got a huge cut and couldn't see???
He had a competivie fight with Williams??? Made the fight close enough with cintron to be robbed..
How the he'll can a good fighter like him can be rated this highly.
Hell Manny and Wlad don't even lose seconds of the fight. He just wins. Even Wlad and Pac are more dominant

Sergio's resume is looking thinner these days, and barker and dzinzirik dont make it better .

To become an ATG he needs to have some big wins at 168. Beating pac and/or mayweather would help, but he needs to fight the bigger guys bc his division is weak and he's old.

You know that who Pacquiao and Mayweather are, don't you? They are No.1 and No.2 in the P4P list at the moment, and they both have beaten up the guys at 154 before (May beat DLH and Pac beat Margarito). More importantly, how many bigger guys got their ass kicked by Pacman? The chance that Pacquaio v.s. Martinez at 154 will happen is more possible than the chace that the latter will move up to 168 to fight Ward, Bush, or other big name fighters over there IMO. And I don't think that Martinez will be favored if he fights Pacman. He will face a problem of dehydration.:lol::lol:

Even if Martinez is the bigger man.
