I actually was disappointed when Margarito got suspended just for the fact that it would have been priceless to see Floyd shut him out in a record-punches-landed for Floyd and record-lowest-punches-landed-percentage for Margarito blowout. Oh well.

Read it and weep you ignorant mother****er.:hi::deal
Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."
Ellerbe said Mayweather opted for the buyout so he could be "more in control of when and who he fights next. It's as simple as that. There is nothing bad between Floyd and Bob."

It really would. Every legitimate fight Floyd wins from here on out shuts up a decent % of the haters. Beat Mosley and Pac/Cotto winner and 90% of the doubters will begin to give it up. Of course there's always gonna be that 10% of irrational people out there, like in all walks of life.

Margarito would have to land for the concrete to take effect, and we all know that never would have happened. A slow plodder is a slow plodder, cement or not.

Just fight a decent WW and dominate like you did with JMM. I still think that out of all the WW's, Mosely has the best chance due to still some speed and always has his power. One punch can change everything and that includes PBF. Even by some chance that PBF looses to someone, so what. All the greats had loses.

im not ignorant. Believe Ellerbe all you want,

At the end of the day, had floyd taken the $8 million and fought margarito.
He wouldnt be getting so much flack. At that time margarito was sen as the most dangerous fighter in the welterweight division(whether he had blocks in his hands or otherwise!).
Instead he took on Baldmoir...who in most peoples eyes was easy pickings in the division.

So he decided to fight a lesser fighter for the same money.
Fair play to te guy but it proved he didnt want to face the BEST!

No problem. I have the utmost respect for Hearns as it is. So many people have compared him and Paul Williams based just on their size, but I think it's a bad comparison. Hearns was the much better fighter.

Does it change the fact that the wins were not in the level where they are at best?! :deal Why celebrate to the fullest?!

    GOING back to my premise..

If chris John Calls out PAC and fights two levels higher and PAC beats CJ will you give PAC the credit?! :rofl:lol:

I'll CALL PAC cherry picker! You call PBF's win AMAZING!!!! :deal:hi:
