Didn´t Solis beat Haye at the amateurs? I agree Haye would beat him right now but this has more to do with Solis´ lack of dedication and determination. When it comes to pure talent and ability Solis is on another level.

The problem with Solis is that hes becoming lazy like many other Cubans who escapes from cuba...Everything's new...food money freedom etc....

Good point! Solis' lack of dedication and determination to put on a good show of boxing is............. .
I very much hope that Solis wont take a leaf out of his compatriot Gomez' book and prefer partyhing to sweating in a gym.
Based on pure talent Gomez is one the most gifted fighters at cruiser/heavy out there. The same can be said about Solis.
Gomez has wasted his talent.I hope that Solis wont repeat Gomez' mistakes!
His German promoter should fire Solis' Cuban coach and sign up a capable American or German coach instead.
Discipline is the Alpha and Omega of the pro business.Solis still has to learn a lot of things in the paid ranks.

From what I have seen Solis seems to do more training at the dinner table than at the gym. Wasn't like that when he was fighting for Cuba.

Didn't Audley Harrison win gold? Does that make him good?

Didn't Henry Tillman beat Mike Tyson in the amateurs? Didn't Tyson destroy him in seconds when they met in a pro ring?

The amateurs means nothing in professional boxing, it's almost a different sport like rugby union & rugby league.

Solis has the skill and ability, if he could get himself motivated and into shape, and have beaten a higher class of opponent first, he could give Haye problems. He's got a good chin, but I think eventually Haye would outlast him and stop him, most likely while behind on points.

If they met now, Haye would stop him inside 5 or 6 rounds.
