If you could make the most entertaining (not necessarily best) Heavyweight Era using fighters from any time, what would it look like? Pick one champion and ten contenders to make the best, most competitive era:

    CHAMPION-ALI

    TOP 10 (in no order)

    Bert Cooper
    Jerry Quarry
    Joe frazier
    George Chuvalo
    Jersey Joe Walcott
    Evander Holyfield
    Ray Mercer
    Rocky Marciano
    Earnie Shavers
    Sam Langford

Personally I'd say Cooper-Frazier is one of the best heavyweight match ups ever for pure entertainment.

Good list but you gotta have Tyson, just for pure excitment, also Foreman would make things better as well.

I'd hardly call holyfield, frazier, langford, marciano or walcott conteders! and if you're allowed to include actual champs as conteders then I can think of a way better list including the likes of Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Joe Louis, jack Dempsey, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Jack Johnson, Sonny Liston, Larry Holmes....**** maybe even a Klitschko over the chuvalo/mercer/shavers....you get the picture

haha, well half the trick is making the most competitive and exciting matches. I can't see holmes or johnson being EXCITING. And Lewis while skilled would make bad matches because of his size.

Now mercer while always exciting, chuvalo would never stopped coming and shavers also had a puncher's chance.

    Hmmm:

10 guys for the most entertaining division?

Evander Holyfield, Vitali Klitschko, George Foreman, Mike Tyson, David Tua, Riddick Bowe, Andrew Golota, Joe Fraizer, Randall "Tex" Cobb and Ike Ibeabuchi.

Not exactly an ATG list but if you're looking for exciting fights it's all about mixing the right STYLES up with the right talent level.

:goodExactly. I like Ibeabuchi and Tex Cobb. Cobb sort of fills my chavulo role of someone who just keeps coming.

I like these. Baer especially, when motivated, was one of the best hitters ever and very durable.
