Lewis’s reputation was hurt by that KO in 94 but he was coming back nicely, he was definitely seen as a dangerous opponent at that time. I find it hard to believe that Tyson, King and co saw Holyfield as a tougher opponent, they went for the soft touch. People say that was a bigger money fight than Lewis but I’m not so sure personally. Tyson was big money coming out of prison, he could fight anyone and it would be huge, the fact Lewis was seen as dangerous would have made it a big fight, who knows what the build up would have been like, it could have ended up a grudge match generating massive interest. Tyson went for the easy money, he was a con man after prison.

I can understand why your parents abused you, but I can't understand why they molested you. THanks for the gold, kind stranger! :good

No the plan was to dodge Lewis and go after easy Holyfield, poor Mike didn't know what was coming to him.

Bowe was still relevant when Mike came back in '95, at least as relevant as Lewis. He had beaten Holyfield in their third encounter and won a few subsequent fights. Mike could have fought him. If you say Mike ducked Lewis, you could just as easily make the case he ducked Bowe. Bowe didn't lose his relevance as a top fighter until the Golota fight at the end of '96. People forget what a huge upset that was.

Tyson didn't pay Bowe millions to not fight him unlike he did Lewis.

With the benefit of hindsight yes, but Tyson Holyfield was the Mayweather Pacqiauo of its time, it was a.fight people wanted more than anything
