What would Usyk need to do to get inside your top 10 all time heavyweight list?

It’s too late. He’s too old, & the talent to beat isn’t around. If Tunney isn’t in my Top 10, Usyk never will be.

 

I mean, head to head I've got him up there. If we can consider him against Tyson or Holyfield in their primes when he's 37, I think he's made a good enough account of himself.

 

This. H2H I can easily make an argument. However on resume I think the time has passed. You need a body of work to be rated highly in terms of "greatness". He's already old and significantly slower than he was as a fighter. If its any consolation I have him as my #1 cruiser.

 

And how do you suppose that? Both those two are terrific pressure fighters, body punchers, and both of them are quicker than uysk. They are a horrible stylistic match up for him as far as I’m concerned.

 

Nothing, but for starters build a time machine so he can fight an actual top tier heavyweight

Parker would be a good win.If he accomplishes what you ask I think he can reasonably be considered.

 

Never. Couple things he lacks to ever make it in my top 10. Frankly I think he's overrated

 

Beat Fury again. Then beat Parker, Zhang, Kabayel, maybe Hrgovic.

Look, if you become undisputed in CW, then move up to HW and do it again against superheavies while basically just being a CW who stopped cutting to make weight, cleaning out the top of your division, you enter the conversation.

 

Unpopular opinion: He's already in mine.

He cleaned out the cruiserweight division becoming undisputed champion, and his opposition was much much, bigger than the vast majority of those of heavyweights past so I'm sorry but I find it very difficult to exclude his success there when ranking him at heavy.

That's not even getting into the fact that he moved up to heavyweight, beat Joshua TWICE!, and later beat Fury (at 37!) To become undisputed champion there as well. 3-0 over the two best heavyweights in the world is HUGE! I used to think a win over Wilder would've cemented his legacy as well, but it's now clear he's a shot fighter, and no longer one of the best in the world. A win over him simply wouldn't mean much at this point, and probably be looked at as somewhat of a cherry pick tbh.

 

Beat Fury again and beat Parker, Zhang and few other contenders and I think he's a lock. Sadly idk how long he can keep it up especially since he's said he might go down to Cruiserweight but skillwise and H2H he's one of the best. But if you include his Crusierweight run with his heavyweight one then I def would have him there especially since modern Crusierweights are around the same size as most heavyweights in the past (sometimes even bigger)

 

Nothing he can do. Its not something he has control over. He has 6 wins at HW 4 of which were competitive decisions. Hes the best of his era but he should not be on ATG top 10 lists.
