What would warrant a lifetime ban, in your opinion?

At this point making an attempt to prevent fighters from juicing is like trying to prevent 17 yr-old teens from having sex. Fighters found guilty of illegal drug use shouldn't be banned for a lifetime but SHOULD be strongly punished. If Marion Jones had to wear a type of scarlet letter I don't see why guilty boxers/fighters shouldn't be treated the same. I think PED use will always be illegal in the sport of boxing but will remain a petty crime - similar to speeding over the limit. Yes, it's illegal but nobody takes a speeding ticket seriously. Can't say I agree with it but that's just how it is.

I agree with the first 3, no doubt.

Can you explain your thoughts on PEDs a little further though? Given they are illegal, don't they warrant a lifetime ban under the current circumstances? Or are you in favor of a 3 strikes and out policy?

Why do you think they will become legal moving forward?

I disagree with your inital statement about them, and feel they also warrant a ban; maybe similar to the IAAF with a 2 year ban initally, and then a lifetime ban for any further offenses. They give an advantage to the user over a clean athlete, thus warranting a ban.

I feel that they do not fall under as serious a category as loading gloves though, thus why i feel they should get a temporary ban initially.

Xylocaine should be banned. It is dangerous to both combatants. Permanent damage to the hand could happen while the one receiving the punch is also endangered because the one punching does not even know how hard he is punching because the feedback mechanism like pain is impaired.

I think that warrants lifetime ban.

    agree with all

as far as peds 3 strikes is too many with all advances in roids and guys like conte its impossible to get caught 3 times

any way 1 strike is nuts like some one said cause it could be a trainer or conditioning guy just giving em to you but as a former athlete you should know what you do to your body then again you trust this guy not to aask questions plus he could lie its dicey

any how these supplements that are legal will eventually be as good as steroids any way

Starting another "Who Won, Hopkins or Calzaghe?" thread. That should incur eternal damnation.
