I have been thinking lately, it doesn't appear Broner's power translated up in the ranks well. He wasn't able to hurt anyone at 147. Now, Paulie and Maidana have good chins, but lets face it, if you are hitting guys that flush it should have more effect. So naturally his team saw this and recognized it and moved back down to 140--A respectable decision.

However, I think they need to take Broners chin into consideration and move him back down to 135 lbs. This kid has showed obvious signs of glass and it will surface again when he faces a harder puncher at 140 lbs. At 135 lbs, he will be too big for guys to hurt. He has great speed even at 135 lbs, he is a gifted athlete. He will also have good power at that divison. His chin won't be such a liability at 135 either.

I think Broners management would be very wise to move him down to 135 lbs before he gets exposed at 140. He can stay at 135 until a BIG payday comes around to get his mandible smashed once again. I'm not saying this as a fan or hater of Broner. Just thinking about boxing as a business and that is what they should do.

If he had a glass chin he would've been KTFO like khan. Plus he has decent power at 147, but he trow like 1 punch, take 10 seconds off, trow one punch. Obvious he can't hurt **** with a workrate that low.

Khan was able to go through the entire fight with Maidana and WIN. Broner was floored 2x his chin is glass.

    DEAL WITH IT.

    YOUR HERO IS A FRAUD.

    Stop denying, start DEALING.

Broner has too low of a work rate. His chin wont hold up to 147 division.

He should never have moved from 135, or should have gone back there after Malignaggi.

    :-(
    Broner took much more punishment.
His chin is solid. If he had china he would have been laid out.
Or your definition of china is different.

I would target Peterson and then the winner of "Braindamage Part III".

LOL if Khan took the punishment Broner took he would have been knocked the **** out. If Maidana was with Garcia he would have definitely knocked him the **** out just like Garcia and Prescott.

I'd feed him to someone now, while he still has some name value left. One of these Carlos Molina/ Emmanuel Taylor level bums are going to brutally KO him sooner or later and that will be that.

So here is what I'd do if I was his handler known as Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Floyd wants a piece of the delicious British PPV market, ever since the Ricky Hatton fight when Ricky ended up making more than him as he was allowed 100% of the Sky Box Office take- he's even previously shown an interest in Matthew Hatton

Now to get on Box Office, he's going to need a British fighter at 147. Floyd knows Kell Brook will school him. So that leaves Amir Khan. However there is a problem with Amir- 1- in the UK, he's more known for his failures rather than his success, thus we won't give him much chance of winning, and 2- he's highly disliked so we won't route for him as the plucky underdog. Thus, the chances of big numbers shelling out for a PPV and staying up until 5am for a fight they either have already decided is a mismatch, or don't even want Khan to win are slim.

This is where hype job Broner comes in.

Broner is so overhyped, it would be an easy nights work for Khan, who would look sensational taking him apart- thus casuals start seeing Khan as a threat to Mayweather.

Broner is also so dislikable he will turn Khan babyface (hero) is the build-up, with his inappropriate comments about Khan's race, religion, nationality etc- Khan has fans that actually like him.

Khan v Mayweather then does big numbers at the Box Office. Job done.

Except Khan did take bigger shots than Broner, stayed upright, and not once did he try to quit like Broner did. :think

Lamont Peterson would be the best choice for the IBF belt but honestly I think even Peterson would beat up Broner.

Assuming the WBO belt is vacant id push for that but then looking at the rankings the WBO have surpisingly high standars for a change.

Lucas Matthyse is at #1 whilst Ruslan Provodnikov is at #2 . . . . pretty much a death sentence

then of course Broner will not fight Danny Garcia soooo . . . . . .

Basically what im saying is there is no chance Broner is going to pick up a world title belt anytime soon unless he drains himself down to lightweight but even then Terence Crawford would handle Broner fairly easily and Mickey Bey trains under Mayweather (IBF) so Broners only hope of getting a title is to fight lightweights in Omar Figueroa or Richard Abril . . . . bit sad really he has to boil down 2 weight divisions to actually win something

140 should be good for Broner. I think his chin is fine, its not iron but its not glass. His problem is his skill level, which translates into his work rate and how much he gets hit.

He should let GBP pick his opponent again, their matchmakers can find another Taylor type - good enough to present a challenge but be beatable if Broner takes it serious. Objectively speaking, I think he has talent... the hype train just ran away with it, relative to where he was at skillwise.

He needs more development fights vs fringe contenders. As long as he avoids Crawford and Matty, he should be fine winning a belt at 140 after 2-3 more development bouts.
