Better because it will be an exciting fight but it won't happen because hatton cannot do 147.

anyone who doesnt think it would be better needs to wake up... .

Hatton, before he fought mayweather... was ABOVE cotto p4p.... one loss against a bigger mayweather doesnt erase the fact that hatton is a world class fighter, AND the KING at 140lbs...

to me this isnt even close

A much better fight, certainly more risk for Cotto, but Hatton ain't a welterweight.

He makes light welterweight comfortably, despite piling on the pounds, and thats where he should stay.

Hey people this is my 1st post and i look forward to debating with you folks.
Anyway, i don't think it's all that relevant wether hatton's a better opponent for cotto or not, because cotto-gomez is just a bridgebuilder
towards a cotto-margarito fight, and margarito is DEFINITELY a better
opponent at 147 than hatton is.
BTW, do you all agree that cotto gets to much criticism for this fight with Gomez? He just beat 2 world-class guys, back-to-back, and after gomez he'll face another world-beater. Let's give the guy a break.

Your probably correct, but why take a step back?

Hatton would clearly be the more impressive name on the record, but as has been said Hatton can't do 147. The only way I can see him fighting at 147 is if he has some impressive wins and decides to finish his career with one of the big welterweight names.

If Cotto wants Mayweather he should call him out like Hatton did after beating Castillio, something to get him riled.

He played well in the Crewe game, but like the other ten was shite against Doncaster.

We have dropped off in recent weeks, it needs to be addressed PDQ!

If Beckford gets injured, we can forget promotion!

People would talk insane amounts of ****. They would say he is picking on a smaller guy who is cmoing off a loss and has looked bad both times he fought at 147. They would discredit the win before Cotto even started his training camp

I think you are right to be fair, but Hatton didn't lose to Mayweather because he fought at 147 if were brutally honest - he was in very good shape, but the tactics were all wrong. It would be good to see a top Hatton performance at 147 and see how good he was. Not saying he would beat Mayweather by any means - before you all slaughter me!

Much better. Simple reason: Hatton is top level.

:good Thats because mayweather as a prior engagement with the cash cow that is delahoya. The Only reason Floyd wants to fight oscar is because high money and low risk.
