If he did that, he wouldn't be Cotto... but yes, I agree, I'd like to see him become more vocal about wanting Mayweather.

In terms of the thread itself, I'm fine with watching Cotto knock Gomez out, as I think Hatton is best served at 140lbs... and should take a comebacking fight soon before trying the very elite again. Just to regain his footing.

It should be a better fight, so I'd be happy. People are really underestimating Gomez though. He was really undersized on the contender, and since he dropped to 147 he has been looking sharp. IMO he is the most improved fighter in the series and has been doing well beating trailhorses like Gatti and Tacki. Hatton poses more of an offensive threat because of the style match-up, but Gomez is larger than Hatton and would trouble Cotto for a spell with his boxing skills. Cotto hasnt faced any true pure boxers. Zab Judah and Mosley are athletically gifted fighters who elect to trade at times and give up there advantages in hand and foot speed and reflexes. Gomez will stand his ground but will stick to a more jab, counter, and move game plan.

 

It will be a good fight but Hatton will get a beating worst than the one with Mayweather, in 147 Hatton isn't great.
