Cintron, gomez, hatton were all good tests for canelo.

In comparison to who guerrero has faced, I think canelo is going into this fight with more experience

But your forgetting, that was a cherrypick and a mayweather leftover, that comes before any mexican holiday when pacquiao chooses an opponent :p

    Hatton Pacquiao?

May 5th is Cinco De Mayo. A fight with a Mexican on that day would be huge.

I'm a Canelo fan, and want to see him succeed, but the opponents you have mentioned aren't anywhere close for preparation for $, its a set up for failure, and although caneleo is a strong fighter I dont belive he is stronger than Ortiz in the one punch category, and defense/boxing isn't his strong point, on the other hand, I strongly belive Guerrero outboxes Ortiz and cracks decent, boxing is his strong point and is faster than Canelo

Hatton Pacquiao was fought on Cinco De Mayo "weekend", so was Mayweather Mosley. NO MEXICANS!

I was at both. Are you arguing that?

However having said all that, you have to look at how guerrero is perceived in the boxing world and by any average boxing fan.
He doesnt have that appeal that Alvarez does and thats what slides the ball slightly in canelos favour.

Cinco De Mayo is on the May 5th, isn't it?

I would have thought the Saturday, night of the fight, falling on the actual day, and not in the celebrating week leading up to it, would hold more significance. Pac-Hatton and May-Mosley didn't have the fortune of falling on May 5th.

You should know pugi, seeing as you worship the greatest cherry picker of all.

mybad. you should have used the exact name instead of using the description "the greatest cherry picker of all". people would find it synonymous with floyd. :D
