    I wonder if Showtime would actually accept Mayfield or Berto as a PPV opponent. I think it's just a scam on Mayweather's part to wind uo Khan because I think they are all with Virgil Hunter (or at least Mayfield has trained with him)

    no, spence is ready for thurman. the guy gave floyd a good fight in sparring. i don't think thurman is a threat to floyd because his style is based on timing and nobody is going to beat floyd by trying to time him.

    I think Spence could possibly beat Thurman too but it seems to be a big gamble and if I was managing his career I wouldn't go there yet.

    I'd first have him fight amature rival Sammy Vazquez Jr, then go for Ghost Guerrero or Devon Alexander, then look at possibly the loser of a possible Thurman v Porter fight, before facing the winner about a year from now.

    Brook is fighting on the same date but headlining his own PPV. Maybe Floyd should man up take the test and come to the steel city and fight the true welterweight champ rather than facing journeymen like Maidana, Pacquiao and Karim Mayfield in his back garden.

    Spence may be slick enough to beat Porter but I worry his lack of Britishness could be his downfall in that fight :think
