What Would You Rather See? Wlad vs Chagaev or Wlad Vs Haye?

Pretty much. No use crying over spilled milk at this point.

That said WWM asked which I'd rather see and of course it's Haye vs Wlad for me.

I consider Haye to be out indefinitely (I think he should take an entire month off to make sure he's healed and then start over again), so right now I'm way in favor of Chagaev. At least we're pretty sure of having a fight, both guys seem to be close to ready. Overall, yeah it was the Haye fight I was looking forward to (and worried about all at once). It's not like Haye will never get another chance, unless he gets really injured or suffers a bad defeat.

I would rather watch Wlad vs Haye, which is probably why it was made instead of Wlad vs Chagaev, but Haye's hurt and I'd much rather watch Wlad fight Ruslan on June 20 than wait for the Haye fight in late July

Truth be told, I think Chagaev vs Haye would give us the best fight overall.

He got his ass handed to him in his "Wald is a *****" thread so he is starting a poll that he believes is biased to his original point and will try and use it as 'proof' that he was right all along. He is being disingenuous here. Come on WWM. Start the poll on the other thread and see how that goes. Not that voting on ESB proves a damned thing anyhow. Wald did the right thing by the fans and took the best fight he could get. If you want to have a meaningful poll, poll the 60K ticket holders to the fight. One of them posted here already and is glad Wald got this opponent. He had airline tickets, vacation time, hotel reservations and fight tickets.

You were already told it will interfere with his upcoming mandatory. Let's not get selective memory here.

I would rather see Wlad vs Haye but I've thought that Chagaev would be a good challenge for Wlad for a while now and would like to see that too.

I would have much preferred to see Haye vs Klit as I think Haye is more reckless and likely to 'go for broke' against Klit.

However on a matchup Haye vs Chag I would probably bet on Chag.

Given the circumstances, it has to be Chagaev. It just makes too much sense. Haye rushing back from an injury before he's 100% wouldn't make Haye-Wlad more exciting, and that's exactly what he'd be doing to make the fight happen. He should take the time to recover fully, fight a contender in the meantime to knock off the ring rust, and build up for a Spring 2010 fight since Wlad's got Povetkin in the fall. Wlad also gets to keep the 6/20 date, which is important for him and the fans who've already shelled out cash for it.

Chag-Wlad on 6/20 makes sense for all parties involved. So would Haye-Wlad in spring of 2010.

Of course Haye. Nothing against Chagaev but he don't bring the Heavyweight excitement that Haye brrings. Even Manny Steward (Wladamir's trainer) said he's like a young Clay! Haye vs Klitschko is the best fight for Heavyweight Boxing.
