What would you recommend Chavez Jr. to improve his boxing skills...

    any thoughts ? if you were his coach or trainer what adjustments does he need in order to be an ATG in boxing ?

    not much. He is a swarmer who has decent stamina and takes a lot of punches. He might jab more and move his head more for defense, but otherwise what you see is what you get. A strong guy. He moves up in weight and he will not be as effective. At 175 all those guys will be that size.

    Move up to SMW then, or get to at a catchweight since he brings in more money and fanbase than most at that weight.

    Cut off the ring better and throw more.

    he's a tall guy but he doesnt use his jabs. He's also very slow..., fighting the likes of martinez made him look like a turtle

    he has a problem. He stays at 160 where he is strong, then he cuts the ring off more and his legs get more tired since he is losing too much weight. He moves up and he does not have the power as much anymore, and he is taking punches from guys like Froch and Ward and Bute. 168 is a good experienced division. I am not sure he can hang with those guys.
