Yes, Hopkins is old, but his age hasn't bothered him much until now. He looked bad against Winky, but who doesn't?

If he's so old, why are all the Calz haters telling us that it's the fight Joe "needs" to be considered elite. (just like they said before the Lacy & Kessler fights...)

And as for Middleweight, he was considered the best Light Heavy in the world not too long ago.

I'd say well done Bernard. I hate the way some people assume that there are only Calzaghe/Hatton fans in the UK not Boxing fans.

I would ask why the comission didn't check Hopkins gloves.

Hopkins age definately worked against him with the Taylor fights in my opinion.

I'm a confirmed Calzaghe hater and I'm not saying this is a fight Joe needs, I think it's a lose-lose situation. He'll get no credit for beating an old middleweight, none whatsoever. If he wanted to be considered elite he should have moved up and fought Jones 7 years ago. Bear in mind Bernard is a natural 160lb fighter, Joe is a natural 168lb fighter...Joe could have COMFORTABLY moved to 175 a long time ago but never did. I wonder why :huh

Ah yes, Roy Jones Jr, that's why :good

I would say I underestimated the old man and say I was wrong.

It wouldnt come as a surprise to me either, I do favor Calzaghe slghtly, just because of his youth and better workrate. I just have a problem with some Calzaghe fans making fun of a legend, calling him old and slow, when he's god damn champion of the world. If Hopkins is as bad as some Calzaghe fans say, what does that say about Calzaghe if he does lose to this slow old man?

Exactly, I dont get it. If they would just come out and talk Hopkins up, if Calzaghe does in fact win it makes there fighter look better. If Calzaghe loses, I cant wait to see what some of these Calzaghe fans will say then.:yep

I'd give Hopkins his props. I think Calzaghe is the real deal, not just hype. So if Hopkins wins, he'll get my props. I'm picking Calzaghe to win.

That's all I'm saying. Hopkins IS old....so it isn't unrealistic, hating, or lack of boxing knowledge to pick against him.

It's not like a prime Hopkins would win anyway against a supernatural like Joe Calzaghe.

I refuse to talk it up because it won't be a good win, it's just for money and to appease a very idiotic public who actually wants this fight to happen.

I only talk up wins that mean anything, this won't, unless he blows him him out early.

I'll say "oh my God there is going to be a mass suicide by JC fans":hang

It wouldn't surprise me at all if BHOP wins this one.
If JC wins I wouldn't be surprised either.
