What would you think of Wlad if he fights Arreola instead of Haye?

If Haye gets sparked by someone else... then that person who sparked him would get a huge boost as well. That's what this sport is all about. You don't just leap into title shots because you might get beat trying to prove yourself first. For this fight to really be a mega fight, they need to bring it to America. The fight is already big in Germany, and the UK. Now, if they could bring them to the States and put on a prime time card with Wlad and Haye both on it... The fight becomes bigger in the States as well. If Wlad vs Haye becomes a mega fight in the states... coupled with the UK and Germany... this could be HUGE... I am talking HUGE!

How much you want to bet that some of these guys are the same ones that said Kelly Pavlik hadn't earned a shot at Joe Calzaghe, in spite of the fact JC called KP out on several occasions. Now it is OK for Haye to jump the line. :-(

I actually agree with you here Widdow, and I like where your going with this. I'm just unsure of Haye's chin at the moment, and who knows, maybe Wlad might get sparked against Arreola, which I doubt, or maybe even lose to Povetkin later this year, anythings possible.

I myself would like to see this happen sooner than later, and with all the buzz going on around about this, the Heavyweight division seems live and well again, something I truly miss since Lewis' departure back in 03. I know I have been negative about the Heavyweights as of late, but I do want to see things get better, and the addition of Haye, the popularity sure has risen.

I wouldn't want to see Haye matched with a Povetkin, Peter-Chambers winner, Chagaev, etc. Surely, Haye could beat the likes of a shot Rahman or Golota. That would give him the exposure to make this fight much bigger. Its already a big fight but build it up some and we have a super fight. I'd personally like to see that roll of the dice.

Fair enough buddy, just a couple low risk, name oppenent warm-up fights is what your saying? I have no problem with that, but sometimes you got to strike while the iron is hot, and for Haye the time is now IMO.

WOW. I didnt know you had front seats to the negotiations of Wlad vs Brock and Wlad vs Haye :yep

Your rant is NOTHING but assumptions and accusations. If the fight does not come off, let the fact come out as to why it didnt, then decide who was right and who was wrong

Ok. Starting with the Briggs fight that didn't happen.

Why did Finkel pay a six figure settlement to Kushner...???

Come on Chef, don't pretend not to know either.

Same as before. I'll recognize him as the man to beat in the division.

Are we suppose to blame the belt holder for not playing out of the ***** challenger's demands?

On the case of WLAD against Haye. Wlad has nothing to lose if he fights anybody and Hayes has nothing to gain if he fights a NON belt holder.

    At the end . . . who loses? :D

Low risk high reward opponents would be great. If the fight were to come off this summer than I'd be fine with that. They will probably meet eventually, its the biggest fight for either guy. Its just that if the negotiations fall apart now than I'm fine with that. It will happen eventually and as a bigger showdown.
