What woulda happened if there was buster douglas vs mike tyson 2???

99.9% sure Tyson would get an early KO in a rematch. Reasons:

1.) Tyson would train.
2.) Buster would not be able to duplicate his performance MENTALLY.

If I recall correctly, Tyson's corner was treating his bruises with a freaking rubber gloved filled with water because they were convinced it would be another early night. The Tyson camp was clearly not prepared.

Although I'm a Tyson fan I'm glad this did not happen. To me, it was the single greatest upset in all of sports (that I've watched) in my 30 years. A rematch most likely would have ended in an early KO of Buster, thus diminishing this amazing feat.

 

If Tyson came out fast and intent on winning fast he would stop him early.

Tyson probably wins. Douglas was like Bowe, had trouble getting in the right place for fights mentally. I think it's unlikely that the best version of Douglas shows up again.

The corner work that night was the worst I've ever seen and for a so-called PROFESSIONAL corner man NOT to have an endswell is unheard of.

Tyson would have destroyed Buster in a rematch ...... And if Holyfield wasn't such a head-butter, Tyson would have fared better in that fight.

In both Holyfield fights, Tyson lost his cool & composure because he was being ignored by the ref. when clearly he was head-butted almost every round. Replays showed it!!!!

In all probability given douglas' history he would show up in a rematch with a lot less will and in worse shape/form than the first fight and tyson (circa the ruddock fights) would get the ko or clear points win with buster having some moments. if douglas showed up as he did vs evander it would be a real quick fight. Even if buster showed up with the same will and same form (again very very unlikely), tyson, embarassed from the first fight, would be in better shape and have enough of his bob and weave style (which even tyson would realize he'd need to compensate for buster's jab and range) to get the W one way or the other

 

Yeah, a condom filled with cold (not freezing) water. They didn't even bother to bring the endswells to Tokyo because they thought it would be that quick and easy for Tyson.

 

tyson would KO him. as has been said before, douglas won that fight based on certain circumstances that allowed him to train harder and fight better than ever before... he was previously a pretty lazy guy who didn't really like to train. after his mom passed away a few weeks before tyson, he knew everyone was going to expect him to lose and that gave him the motivation and will to train his ass off and come out fighting. he was a ****in warrior that night.

With or without Holyfield in the picture Tyson should have gotten the rematch.
Douglas was very good when he brought his "A" game. The problem with him was that he usuly brought his "B" or lower game into the ring with him.
Tyson had peeked with the Spinks win but was still very good. My rankings after Douglas ko 10 Tyson would be 1. Douglas 2. Tyson 3. Holyfield. Tyson would have won the 91 match that was susposed to happen with Holyfield.
Ok my prediction for Douglas Tyson 2. is Tyson ko 7.
