WTF has boxing come to when so-called fans just act as if making weight doesn't matter. :-(

weight does matter. but marquez and money are the same size to begin with. money just allowed pee pee mouth to come in at a comfortable weight. it's not like money drained marquez to death.

There should be no catchweights fights. You pick a weight class and fight at it.

Mayweather would of still won all the rounds, I think Marquez made the mistake of going straight for Mayweather without taking a tune-up to get use to the weight. The Marquez that fought Pac for the third time was a better Marquez, who was carrying his weight better not looking as bloated.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that better version of Marquez would of beat Floyd. But that version would of been able to take Floyds shots a little better. Better enough, to take more risks. You know Marquez, he doesn't mind taking a shot if it means getting his in as well, but when he fought Floyd, even the jabs where crushing! Floyd had every advantage possible, so it was a bad move when Floyd didn't keep his end of the bargain and make the weight and attempt to lose the extra poundage.

Marquez just wanted to make a point and fight against the fighter he felt was the best. Kinda like to say, " See there Pac, at least I have the balls to fight Floyd, whatabout you? "

    Note:

Any and every fight that doesn't make the agreed weight should be seriously fined and maybe no more than a 6 month suspension. I feel sometimes fighter go into these agreements without really having no intensions of cutting the full weight. So there needs to be stiffer penalties to make fighters and their team really think twice!

    Peace

You Pacquiao fans are pathetic. Remind again why did Pacquiao turn down the testing in 2010 ?

I thought that with the 3rd Pacquiao fight and look how that turned out.

At least Mayweather had no idea how Marquez would perform at welterweight before he made the fight, unlike Pacquiao who watched Marquez get schooled for every single round in his only previous fight there but still opted to fight him.

Floydiots will say the outcome would be the same. These thick skinned homos don't know the word shame. They made a big deal about Cotto moving down just 1 lb with almost 6 months to safely remove the extra lb but when Floyd lured Marquez to move up 2 divisions above his normal weight, Floyd promised and signed the contract to make Marquez believes he will giving him a level playing field. LMAO! Floyd has many months to fulfill the contact he signed but the shameless coward didn't try to make weight at all. If the 2 lbs wouldn't make any difference then why the rich coward didn't try to make weight at all but instead he did the self preservation comes first!

Cotto said he had to sacrifice his body.. He then immediately went to 154 and has stayed there since. :think

You are a floydiot if you don't know. Floyd doing the same requirement tests for his 40 previous fights he without any problem but when he was about to fight a one dimensional easy money easy fight midget overrated Pacquiao all of the sudden he brought up the useless blood testing doesn't required by the Nevada Boxing Commission because he can't believe how the hell Pac beat those weight drained past prime shot fighters paid to lose. LMAO!

LMAO! Cotto made his name at welterweight and fought there even before the Pac fight is possible and so did when the Pac fight is possible. You talk like Cotto has been fighting for all those years at 154 and moved down to 147 and sacrifice his body. Sound excuses to me.
