So well im supposed to spar vs a shorter and lighter than i am (by about 8KG). Im a speed fighter but being 8Kg lighter then he should be faster than i am, im taller and have a solid guard and use the 'mayweather guard' alot. My question is, i love body shots cause i find it easy to setup. Problem is hes much shorter than i am so body shots are hard for me to go in with. I use alot of headmovement/jabs. Hes a really good amateur fighter and has been training for 6 years so i would love sparring with him. Suggestions on what combos i can use vs him?
I imagine the basic tactics would apply, stay on the outside, keep him away with the jab lateraral movements and pivots
dont take me wrong but i would like to put up a good impression against him, anything specific i can do?

From what you described yourself as I don't see why you would't, you already use a lot of jabs and movement and you are bigger, stronger and have a greater reach advantage.
Im very unbalanced, i have alot of handspeed but average footspeed.. anything i can do to make up for the lack of footspeed?

Tricks and traps all day. Speed guys are suckers for traps, because they are fast and know it. If you can show, anticipate the punch, get out of the way, and throw the counter? You should be able to get him. For example: Step in lead hand low, lazy jab (arm drops), pull back fast, and immediately throw the left hook/shovel hook. If you are anticipating right he will attempt to throw a hook or a straight. Step in/left (to his right), get ready for his straight, duck, shuffle left, arranging your feet where he is now square, and throw an upper cut. It can be rewarding, but dangerous. If he packs speed and POWER? It is a tough call to go the tricks and traps route. Also, this is kind of fruitless if you are sparring "amateur style" as he will probably out point you on setups.
thanks alot for the reply mate, i rly like the sound of the lazy jab pull back left hook! he doesnt have power against me.. just speed thank god
