and why you shouldnt ride off diaz.....

the reason campbell won this fight ... not the main reason but a reason..

was campbell won the mental part of the fight!
when diaz breaks down his opponents and usually starts to pull away campbell maintained pace and stayed right there with diaz and traded with him until diaz didnt know what to do anymore. Campbell treated diaz like he was a little college kid against a street veteran and atleast to me it showed just by the way nate campbell spoke to him throughout the fight and acted in clinches and when in close combat. Campbell also faught very gritty which i dont think diaz is totally comortable with.. alot of headbutts, alot of contact through the forearms and gloves in clinches... alot of **** talking if you didnt notice..

but Campbell used a lot of mental and physical tricks to grind this fight out and he deserved it.... but at the same time dont write off diaz because of this... hes still a very talented fighter and will come back even stronger cause of this fight

I think diaz will be back and be a force to be reckoned with still....

But on this night he got clearly outworked mentally and physically by a vet - great to see nate become a champ late in his career

Well said. Diaz fought great, Campbell was iron willed. What surprised me was his conditioning, most of Diaz opponents cant keep up with his work rate and just break down. Diaz is a still great fighter and could beat Campbell in rematch,

well i think the cut on the eye was more of the problem, Diaz is young and didnt know how to get through the adversity.......maybe?:huh:think

i think the cut combined with how campbell got in his head... once he got cut he was totally of his element and cambpel capitalized on it.. it wa def god fight... respect to both fighters

THeres no denying the course of the fight was affected by that deep cut to Diazs eye. I'd like to see a rematch
