Every is hugely pissed off about the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight and the news at the moment is that they will be competing on the same night in March against different fighters on different PPV events. Everyone has spewed venom at them for failing to make this fight happen, they have conspired to work their way out of a $40million fight for unknown reasons. The only thing that makes sense is that they are biding their time and plan to fight later in the year, after more hype, but I dont really buy that for a few reasons. The only thing to do to show your displeasure is not to buy EITHER PPV of EITHER fighter until they fight each other. Both fighters are guaranteed big viewing figures every time they fight now, regardless of opponents or undercard, but a dip in figures is the only thing that would sting either of these egomaniacs, and it would be crystal clear to both mens management why the drop happened. Often in sports it would be possible for fans to make their voice heard by opting out but, as fans, they seldom do. All you who have rightfully criticized these two for damaging their reputation and the sports reputation, do not support either man anymore and tell all your friends to do the same until they make the fight that could reinvigorate the entire sport :bbb:bbb:bbb Its not like you should be paying the extortionate fees in this day and age anyway ;-)
Been there, done that. Geez guys, you should not be surprise. You should already predicted this when Mayweather ducked the 3 natural welterweights.
They may still be able to get the MP-FMJ fight done later this year. They'll keep fanning the fire of the hype and controversy for the general, mainstream press and keeping the buzz alive for the possible megafight. It could work out well in the end for them.
The best way to voice your opinion with is your wallet. That much is true. If you don't think it works, there's a reason HBO stopped shoving PPVs up our asses all year long and decided to save them for when they counted. I won't be ordering either although I can't guarantee I won't watch them.
