**** pundit and his trousers are far too tight and reveal too much.

His autobiography is the best boxing book I've probably read though, quite inspiring.

I don't mind him as pundit. It's just when he gets the guest to "show" him how to deal with the opponent there gonna face. I have to mute it and look away.

Surprised everyone is shitting on Johnny as a pundit here. Where's the love lol?

He is rather dire like and the things he comes out with off the cuff are cringeworthy. I like him though in a "he's stupid as **** but means no harm" sort of way. He's a LOT better than 95% of the pundits on American TV though. They're so bad that I can't even watch the fight if they're talking over it.

    That guy off Showtime Jim Gray. I swear to God, he makes me want to kill myself he's so bad. When he was doing Froch vs Bute he actually said this;

"Carl Froch vs Lucian Bute from here in Nottingham in London. Froch has got all his Nottingham homies behind him for this fight."
    :patsch

The HBO guys, don't get me started. :fire

All these awful Americans make Nelson look like David Frost

Shame the fight with Enzo never happened, he could've got the glory Haye got.

  8. I think lot of people are being harsh on the lads presenting tbh, this bloke would have had no background in journalism, presetting etc. If someone said to him he would be presenting when you boxing career finishes I guess they would have been laughed at. For someone who has had no background in this field I think he does quite a decent job tbh. Hell of a lot different from being a pundit where you are hoying odd tit bits in to fronting a entire show like Nelson does.

I'm not sure what planet you lot are on, but Johnny Nelson is a decent presenter. He's not Ant and ****ing Dec. He's an ex-boxer fronting a boxing show and some fight nights.

  10. Exactly, Lineker was hardly Des Lynam when he first started. He stumbled his way through a lot of things

i remember him as a bit of a boring fighter and his fights seemed to be always gettin called off / changed last minute etc dont know if its true just how i remember it

bad presenter when hes reading the script like a few have said makes me cringe and with smith gurning next to him makes me feel uneasy

he always seems decent when off the script when he appears on a fight night talksport or where ever

He was a good fighter,a bit boring sometimes but good. In my opinion he would have beaten Haye at cruiser, his style would have given Haye fits. He boxed at heavyweight a few times so Haye`s size would not bother him either.
I think he is decent as a pundit. Has a lot of enthusiasm for the job and always seems happy and friendly. Other fighters seem to like and respect him and really that is all you need.

My opinion is he was an excellent boxer, and a fighting champion.A look at his record shows some top names, including heavyweights. On TV he has the ability to laugh at himself, which I think is good, but possibly makes people forget how really good he actually was.By the way,an occasional presenter on Inside Out,nothing to do with boxing, and does a good job.A really decent bloke to meet, not up himself like some sportsmen without a fraction of the talent.

He was a good awkward effective negative fighter, but **** me was he boring, that is undeniable, Growing up, you know that old wifes tale where you count sheep and eventually fall asleep?

I used to think of Johnny Nelsons fights, Id be soundo before the count of 8.
