Decent fighter who made the most of his limited ability. Appalling pundit, regularly runs down the crazy stairs with infatuation - most prominently with James DeGale who he nearly came over. Then, once proven wrong, refused to give Groves any credit.

He's an utter **** of a TV personality.

There was actually a damp patch on his tight fit jeans near the crotch area, my sister pointed out to me after him talking to Degale, I pointed out that is was probably Adam Smith gently rubbing his leg in between breaks that caused that mishap?

Tell you what I know,Quinton.Didnt have a lot of amateur fights.Turned pro and had mixed success at first. Finally came good through perseverance and beat Dennis Andries and Carl Thompson 2 really tough guys.Beat some heavyweights though the top ones beat him probably due to size.Won a world cruiser title and beat some good men after drawing with Carlos de Leon in a boring challenge first.Retired due to injury.IMO an excellent champion and good on TV now.

That is something I will never knock about Nelson, he learn't the hard way and made best of his overall talent, he reached a level above his station, that deserves respect.

I think he's good. doesnt take himself too seriously & likes to have a laugh. He was Johnny '3 punches a round' Nelson in his fight days.

You have to give him credit for landing a great job with Sky. What would happen to a boxer like Johnny Nelson without a solid job after his career, probably end up struggling and dying.

I think he is flamboyant, and informative. Also i want to hear more stories of his career, he was around in British boxing at a very exciting time. I have got a book called...."Prince Naseem Hamed and those he left behind", and Johnny Nelson is mentioned in it afew times, i have not actually read it all! Its quite deep, underground, gangsta type ****.

Why people think he is there to provide detailed analysis is beyond me. If you want that, it should be on BoxNation which is a channel for the diehards.

You all want boxing in the mainstream media, but seem to failure to grasp the reality that in order for that to happen you have to dumb down your coverage.

Very harsh comments his presenting here IMO.

I think he's great on Sky. Light hearted but hugely knowledgeable with an obvious insight into the pro game.

He accomplished what he was able to as a pro. I'm not sold on him as a presenter at all, and, he ****ing sprays his clothes on.
