Plus, they were giving Diaz worse advice than HBO was.

I still had it tons closer on my card, but even without the "OMG! He was staggered by Paulie? He must be hurt bad!!!" knockdown, it was a fairly comfortable 3 round lead.

Still... getting stunned by Paulie?! If Diaz doesn't transform himself in his next fight, he'll become the shipped-in opponent that Paulie was so scared of becoming.

...if he really does become a lawyer, maybe he should stick with Texas judges.

 

I had to speed things up a bit to understand what Paulie was saying...

The corner's work on that cut wasn't as bad as, say, Tyson's against Buster, but it was close. It looked like the same q-tip was used the entire fight (it was brown, even before it got to the eye) and I don't remember it ever closing. That really puzzled me.
