Whatever Ariza is injecting Khan with, it's been pretty effective

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by charlie brown, Dec 11, 2010.

  1. Khan's chin has now improved from "breathtakingly dreadful" to "poor". If it wasn't for Cortez' incompetence not letting Maidana hit Khan while he was hugging onto Maidana's arm or taking the point away from Maidana, then we would have a different result.

Wow, I thought the excuses would be Maidana was weight drained, or rehydration clauses..but no, the good ol' PED accusations never fail eh

    Sour grapes.

contrary to boxing myth, there are ways to improve your ability to take a punch. Ali did it by putting on wieght and sparring without a helmet, Mercer used to use the neck weights, Tommy Hearns trained the legs for the second leonard fight, etc.

Don't know what Kahn is doing, but good for him.

I believe avoiding fried chicken and Kool Aid during training camp does help improve your chin.

Hmmmm Training really hard and taking your body to the limits when you prepare is what gives you an Edge.

Simple...he isn't weight drained you idiot. Plus bigger legs now. Also Jim Watt said he rides punches better (altho to be fair I dunno what he meant) as looked to me he was just getting plain hit lol

PED's wont do **** for your chin, but Pac's and Khan's endurance levels are incredible. They have the ability now to take a good amount of punishment later in fights and then continue fighting like nothing happened. I don't know exactly what supplements they are taking, and I don't think it's fair to accuse them with certainty, but if they refuse to take at least one random test though, fans have every right to be suspicious and to question them. This is the age for performance enhancing drugs, and most athletes would do anything to get to or stay at the top.

    Khan has never refused anything.

Remember during the press tour for the Paulie fight?

Paulie kinda accused Khan of taking PEDs and Khan fought back saying he'll take any tests just to prove the Wild Card (specifically Freddie's) stable is clean. Paulie stopped talking about that soon after.

And even now, when Paulie is interviewed, he can't believe how hard people work in Wild Card. (He trains there now)

It's all good, and I'm not questioning their work habits. Saying that you'll take any test and actually taking the tests are two different things though. I'd like to see Pac and Khan actually take such a test soon, and put an end to some of the suspicions.
