Whatever happend to Mike Perez?

I remember Glenn McCrory describing him as the 'new Tyson' when he first came to Europe and claiming they were having problems finding him sparring partners because his punching power was so brutal.

To me though he never looked particularly motivated or in shape although he did do me a favor by blitzing through a prize fighter line up to earn me a few quid.

 

That's a syndrome that afflicts nearly all Cuban heavyweights.

 

After the Mago incident he clearly fell off the tracks. Then Povetkin happened and he got run over.

better question is why does ANYONE let Ellie Sechback in their gym or allow him to be anywhere near them with his camera?

 

Brandon Rios must be tired of Ellie instigating him all of the time.

That was sad to see...I really hope Mago makes a good recovery, its a big Price to pay for being a warrior! :-(
