Whatever Happened To Butterbean?

He’s doing better now.

 

I certainly hope that doesn’t ever happen.

He doesn’t need “just the one fight” to punctuate his regaining of health - unless he’s also motivated by a need for money, which is probably most likely.

 

As demonstrated earlier in this thread, his health got really bad (diabetes iirc) but word is that he’s turned that around pretty well to be in much better health, all things being relative.

I know he kind of does the circuit where he gets a fee to go to fight shows and sign autographs (probably has some merch and makes some side change that way trading on his name and former fame) and at one point I think he was a deputy sheriff or something like that.

Never actually met the guy but I know some people who know him. Everyone says he’s a good guy and he really does love boxing and being around it. I hope he stays on the upswing health-wise.
