He was a stalwart of British boxing for many years. I always liked him.
Even though he could blow hot and cold, I always remember the nights be beat Audley Harrison and Mike Tyson. The last time I saw him fight was Chisora, many years ago. But I think he carried on well beyond that. Anyone know what he's up to - and how he is?

Have a look at his record over recent years. Have been reports over the years of his activity abroad and how's he been able to fight overseas after being denied a licence in the UK. And calls in the some of the boxing press for him to call it a day. It's hard to see a positive ending to this. It's an unfolding tragedy. There was even an attempt by some scumbag promoters called DKM Plush Boxing trying to get him into a fight here last year.

Real tragedy. I know some people say it´s his fault for carrying on (I believe he said he had to fight on to keep his kids in private school), not managing his own finances.

I understand these points of view but I remember the thrilling fights: Julius Francis I, Mike Tyson, Mark Potter, Sinan Samil San, Michael Sprott I+II, Audley Harrison, John McDermott I+II (exciting robberies!), Konstantin Airich where Airich´s promoter rang the bell early to save his man. Brilliant kos of Kali Meehan, Francis II, Scott Gammer, Michael Murray I.

Danny being hot and cold it what made him so exciting as you never knew who was going to show up.

Whatever you think of him he was a warrior who gave his best. Never quit and took some beatings from Klitschko and Samil San.

Such a shame to see him getting beat up for peanuts by nobodies (mostly) and damaging his health. He has 23 defeats since losing his title to Derek Chisora in 2010 when he was already considered shot!

This!. Poor Danny is more than likely going to suffer real health problems in the future (if not already).
We boxing fans know how the story goes.
