PAge had little other than power and decent athleticism, a very ordinary fighter overall imo, he'd right inwith the average crop of fighters around just now.

Page was a strong fighter not great and his chin wasnt that great at welterweight. He also had a nervous blinking problem in the ring. He was black balled by Don King for trying to break his contract. He was knocked out by Six Heads Lewis who also got black balled by Don King after taking his WBA title. Lewis was then thrown in unprepared against Ricardo Mayorga and was knocked out. Lewis also had a suspect chin but could punch hard like Page.
I think Arum signed Lewis after the Mayorga fights, but he was completely shot and never did anything more.

Yey i never saw Lopez hurt saw him shrug off the best punches from bombers like Page,Quartey, Yori Boy.

I thought Page deserved the fight over Lopez(although Lopez dropped him twice i think), but Lopez wasclearly not at his best. I was impressed with Page for a while and he just kind of stayed inactive and wasnt the same. Saw him live at the Forum when he blew out then undefeated prospect Alfred Ankamah,it was a very impressive and explosive ko.

Yey he was naturally athletic good speed and Power, but i do remember Pendelton(blown up lightweight) had him badly hurt.
At Pages best id pick him to ko Berto.

Page could crack with that hook.Got run out of De La Hoyas camp because he decked the golden boy in training.
The problem with Page was latter on they started messing with his style and trying to get him to be more of a boxer.
None of the welterweights today hit as hard as Page. And the Page/Lopez bout was thrilling and yes Page came back to shake Lopez on a couple of occasions.

I think nowadays, Page beats Berto, loses to Pacquiao/Cotto/Mayweather/Mosley. Not sure how he fares against Clottey.

I was at the Ankamah/Page fight as well.
Lopez was pretty tough, had a great fight against Aaron Davis, and a draw with Quartey (wasn't it?) in which he seemed to hurt or knockdown Quartey every time he landed. Unfortunately for Lopez, he threw very few punches and ate jabs like M&Ms.
