I liked watching him. He was crude but effective. I know Alexander destroyed him but it would good to see him back on the scene. Also whatever happened to Juan Lazcano? After losing to Hatton he seemed to stop fighting. He could have gone on and had a few more wins.
He bought a pig farm in his native Columbia and retired. Alexander was his last fight. This is Urango. Don't know about Lazcano.
funny lazcano mentioned here... remember him wobbling the **** out of hatton and hatton needing help from the ref there???? after that hatton would go on the fight the heavy handed paulie m...and then fight pac....man pac is awesome....
:blood The HCP was shot to **** by then. The fact that he made Ricky struggle just means that Ricky himself wasn't much use anymore at that point - not that Lazcano should still have been competing.
Urango is back. Dude will be fighting April 26th in Mexico City against Cristian Chavez (23-18, 11KOs). If he has anything left, he could make for some fun fights with dudes like Marcos Maidana, Mike Alvarado, Lucas Matthysse, Brandon Rios, or even Breidis Prescott.
Hatton boxed very well for four rounds. Then he got hurt by a body shot in the 5th round and turned into a mini John Ruiz. Hardly a soul snatching clinc. :deal
If he's back, then Ricardo Torres needs to come back too. I always wanted to see those two bang it out.
I'm just joking You're spot on, After the 4th that fight was awful to watch. If anything, 'Ricky Hatton' and 'Boxing Clinic' is an Oxy-Moron
