I just came across his Boxrec page and couldn't believe he'd lost 3 times since the Concepcion fights, including a shutout loss to a 1-8 fighter. It's quite alarming how sharply his stock has fallen since his very unlucky loss in the first Concepcion fight.

I was discussing it with Beeston on another thread. He's been pretty unlucky this year; as you've mentioned his unfortunate loss to Concepcion in their first fight and a very close loss to Bromberg (I had Hammond winning), plus he almost had Concepcion out in the 2nd fight.

By not getting the decision in the first Concepcion fight he missed out on a place in Prizefighter and by not winning the second fight he might have missed out on a British title shot.

The jump up in weight might not have helped him, due to him trying to be the physically stronger man in fights. The Osman loss was a shocker, although his loss to Fitzgerald was a late notice job.

I'd like to see him try and get back down to 154, where he is more effective (although I don't know if he's outgrown the weight). But thankfully he has a crowd pleasing style, which means he shouldn't just fade away and he'll get plenty of opportunities.

A disastrous year this one has been for him, but hopefully he can target a Area title and go on from there.

I think he's just had a baby which may explain his recent absence from fights

Shame that he went that way. I thought he edged the 1st Concepion fight and seemed to have blown up since. Hopefully he can get back on track was a good watch for the undercard fights.

No shame in a loss or two he is going to be the type of fighter that is never going to have an amazing record but will pick up some good wins along the way and probably a few losses. He is the type of fighter that will get plenty of opportunitie
