No one would fight him(too good for his own good) and then he finally gets someone to defend his British and Commonwealth titles against, was it Oakey ? and he pulls out because of the way he had been treated in the past(people dodging him). Stupid thing to do imo, but it's his life.

That basically finished off what was left of his career. As for what he's out now, dunno.

Yeah he took the **** that night and cost fans money and let Oakey down big time...he went on for ages no one would fight him then complained in the dressing room that he won't fight and pulled out on the night of the fight.

There's some characters out there but what he did was a disgrace to this sport.

I remember him pulling out of the Oakey fight at the last minute, very strange.

Does anyone remember the fight he had against Ole Klemetsen?

    Great ko.

Was supposed to fight Tony Oakey for the British title, a couple of years back, but pulled out an hour before he was due in the ring.

He claimed beating Oakey would make it even harder for him to get fights...

Although his actions was totally unprofessional, the fact was he was being paid £9,000 for the Oakey fight, kind of showed how little interest there was in him, and why he could not get a fight for nearly three years.
