still, he could comeback now, maybe go the unlicensed route or something? the thought of how hard it is to actually train and fight maybe dawned on him when he was up against the big boys... got respect for the guy, just too hyped and turned pro way too early.
My fav barnes moment was him rapping: Express yourself Create the space You know you can win Don't give up the chase Beat the man Take him on You never give up Its one on one Oh wait wrong forum
There as been some bad personal comments about young Barnes who's career ended through elbow problems well before his loss.he had 2operations on the same elbow and if they had worked then surgery on the other wud av been done.the problem was tissue was overgrown between the joints so when he threw a jab and his arm locked out it trapped the skin containing nerves and sent a shock through his body and the arm was no god for 10 mins till the pain eased...the skin was cut away but grew back so the second op the bone was shaved but it still grew back so no point carrying on.hope it clears all the disrespectful comments made.
If this is true then I apologise as this is my thread to begin with. I have experience in muscle and nerve problems, it's horrible. Damn shame, is there no chance of a return?
There is very little respect on this forum, I think it's more of a joke forum but without anything funny!
No No he was what we call in the trade a gym fighter he looked a million dollars in the gym heard he gave all the top lads like Kell Brook JR witter good hard spars held his own with them...
Not sure I can buy the elbow story. I remember his debut... the line was that he had to turn pro because he couldn't get anyone in the amateurs to fight him, Ingle claimed he would go all the way, Barnes himself said that once the other lad felt his power he would go down. Then the fight happened and he looked ****. What gives?
We had two lads from my club box him and they were very close bouts, however, we noticed he didn't like pressure. It also seemed like he was protected by some officials. But i seen time after time a lot of strong school boy boxers who are beyond their years, struggle when things start to balance out
Maybe the fact that he was only 17 years old and it was his first professional fight,he didn't do to badly for a kid of his age. Id say your being a bit a harsh but that's probably being too polite, your a dick head mate.
Another Ingle gym hyped 'future world champ' who flopped very quickly. There's been so many of them. ( Yes i bumped an old thread, big deal)
