Technically gifted is better. Once the PEDS kick in down the road physically gifted wont matter.

The point is that technique can be studied and learned, athleticism can't. Hence athleticism is the clear choice if we are talking about being naturally gifted in one department. Not that you can be naturally gifted in technique anyway.

Yes you can, seen it lots of times in a gym. Some guys you have to train how to trow a decent kick or punch, others have that naturally without ever have trained on it before. Of course it can always be polished, but some start out better than others ever get after years of training.

funny 'cuz your first post was an ownage! BTW, that guy spud has only one point of view on everything. Typical ***** or *******. In his case, a *****. In his mind, he has to defend his crush Floyd no matter what. Floyd is technically talented boxer and he's going to keep on insisting that technical fighter can't be beaten by a fighter who has better physical attributes.

He knew you are picking against his choice so without reading or understanding what you have said, (he just went and defend his crush.

btw, you can say I'm a ******* for favoring Pacman most all the time. But I do have good reasons on why I favor him over Floyd.

Size isn't being physically gifted, being physically gifted refers any raw gift of body that would suit any athlete in any sport. Why do you think Shane Mosley, Roy Jones etc are all so good at sports other than boxing?

Technique can be taught, however I do believe that physical attributes can be taught through the right training also. I'd just prefer being physically gifted then being taught the technique.

    Technically gifted.

    Example: Clottey vs. Judah.

Technically gifted fighters are usually physically gifted as well. Kind of a strange question

Im not so sure, you could argue fighters like Malignaggi are technically gifted but he lacks a dig therefore fighter rush him because they know hes no threat.

I think having all physical attributes as Robney said is better than being technically gifted, as the physically gifted person could learn technique to add to his game, its hard as Philla said to grow in height or strengthen a chin.

Im talking about on a considerable scale, like comparing Jones to Hopkins in terms of athleticism, there is a significant gap.

Like taking a Football/Soccer player like Messi and C.Ronaldo, C.Ronaldo has excellent technique to be able to do what he does, but his athleticism makes him so effective, his power and pace is what sets him apart more so than his technique, where as Messi is physically challenged, but makes up for it with unbelievable technical quality.

The "physically gifted" -- like Roy Jones -- can do amazing things 'till he loses a step; then he has no technique to fall back on.

Bingo. This is how I was going to answer. You see fighters like Roy Jones become very ordinary as opposed to a fighter like Hopkins who has adapted his style to survive and find ways to win.
