If I were Wilder's handlers, I'd give serious contemplation to any deal that was 60-40 or 65-35 with Wilder being given a percentage of the US market. Based on the potential of this fight, that would be far more than Wilder has ever made in a fight. Obviously if he wins the first fight and there were a rematch, he should get closer to parity with Joshua, maybe 55-45.
I think the fight takes place in the UK at Wembley. Possibly there's a 2 fight deal, but I don't know how that would work with mandatories? Regardless, the US market isn't sufficiently proven from either fighter to risk the Wembley and UK PPV receipts. Plus A side AJ may as well keep home advantage. I think 70/30 would be a realistic split based on what each brings to the deal but I don't think Wilder accepts that and the fight wouldn't get made. I don't think I'd give Wilder 40 if I were AJ. If I'm bringing 4 belts to the table to Wilder's one and with such a massive difference in the likely revenue brought in. I'd say 35 would be a red line. So more than Parker got but not 40. However I think they'll settle for somewhere between 35 and 40 however as the WBA have done Wilder's team a big favour by announcing the mandatory. It's now or never so AJ's side will give a little more just to get the fight on.
I find it interesting as to why people expect Joshua who has won 3 titles in 3 different fights and has far more to lose (3 titles to 1) and taken more risks in bigger fights to get to this point, should not be substantially receiving more. Wilder could get paid the same as he normally gets and if he wins would hold all of the titles. He would then be in the drivers seat for all future fights while holding the titles and able to get more in his next fight if he wins. Now I dont expect Wilder to only get what he normally receives because he would be part of a big fight that would be creating interest and wouldnt want someone who is putting their health and possibly life on the line to not be well rewarded. The thing I was trying to say really was (and I dont expect it to be said or happen) is that if Wilder were willing to take the same amount as what he took in his fight with Ortiz (which I read was a career high payday) then nobody could say Wilder was not wanting the fight and he wouldnt be making any less than he normally does. There would be no more at stake than usual for Wilder because he only has the one title he defended previously. My opinion doesnt count for anything as its not me taking the punches and it is just a comment

It's not about what I expect, it's more about what I want. I want the fight, I don't care too much who gets paid what
I think people get hyped by titles and undefeated records. You get many posters on here who claim a title doesnt mean a thing and an undefeated record means nothing but we know thats not the case. I think there are tougher fights for Joshua due to styles and possibly bigger money fights if Fury comes back, if Haye puts in a stunning performance against Bellew and claims to be back at full health Think if Fury gets back to best or Povetkin due to style could be tougher fights for Joshua
It's easy to get hung up on what each fighter is worth, but the whole is bigger than the sum of its parts. Both need each other in that respect. There is more than money at stake.
I think Joshua is #1 at moment due to his resume which is what I base it on. I think #2 is debatable I think Pulev, Povetkin, Parker could be rated above Wilder but that undefeated record and title hypes fans
