hey everyone, there have been a new gym around my place and its really cheap price but it seems more like a fitness gym with some heavy bags so i am not too sure, luckily they have a free session on monday and just want to see what should i look out for
no its a very new gym and i asked the trainer, he was honest with me and told me he never competed but have been doing boxing for a good 16 years, but its alot cheaper there than other schools but mainly i want to know what would a good trainer teach you on first lesson
basics footwork , punchs and defenses or teach you the hard way show you how to stand and punch take you on the pads and giv you a smack weneva u drop your hands 1st ones best tho
For boxing? A good trainer, sparring and half-decent (though hopefully completely decent) equipment I would imagine. Furthermore, good boxers and no bull****. There you go.
You train in what martial art? I am considering starting Judo on Wednesday. I train at a 24 hour gym chain for fitness.
i did karate(black belt) judo(yellow) bjj(white) muay thai(amateur fighter) and boxing(just started) judo is nice, its mad fun until one of the advance students have a bad day and just slam you with a yama arashi :hey
i had a look at the equipments at the gym everything there was top notch, 5 heavy bags very new, 2 uppercut bags really nice, quite a few pair of focus mitts, and lots of other stuff one of my friends also tried the gym out and did say it was pretty good
how many coaches are there? the first day he shoul teach you the stance is definete. now there re some that will teach the jab first some will teach footwork first.
its a really new gym, theres only two coaches there(i am not too sure but my friend did tell me that he is still scouting for new coaches) i am still waiting for monday where i get my first lesson
