I'm 16 and getting into boxing competition scene. I am around 5:11 and weight 168-172 pounds I am powerful but have a large amount of body fat I would like to lose. I would like to become a lot slimmer and would like it if someone could give me a diet plan on what I should eat and and what time of the day thanks

You are the right weight for your height, you just need a nutritionist. This forum will not get you any serious information because it is solely based on riding a fighters dick like a Harley and nothing else.
For example if you want to lose weight fast, SMOKE CRACK!! Thunderdomeboxingtalk smokes meth and he has zero body fat.
    You see, nothing good.

Some of us here in the training section actually know what we are talking about.

the training alone will make you lose the weight in a few months if you train 5 days a week for 2 hours a day.

Breakfast: Bowl of Cereal, Banana, 4 oz Glass of milk

Lunch: 6 oz lean cut of beef, chicken or fish(don't eat beef every day), small or medium sized salad (preference), water

Dinner: Vegetables sauteed in olive oil w/small amount of spaghetti. Use your judgement on small. Mix everything together. Make a small pot of marinara with garlic, onions, etc.

Stay away from potatoes and starchy foods. Drink a half gallon of water per day minimum.

The focus on the above is right, but you can do better, without bothering with a mean plan. I eat twice a day, but some people handle three or four smaller portions better.

It's not hard, just eat real, whole food:

In order of quantity and priority: eat vegetables and fruit, mostly raw, beans, nuts, seeds, whole grains, occasionally seafood.

Completely avoid processed foods, sugar, salt, refined carbohydrates, red meat, and milk.

    Bonus health tip: stop masturbating.

I stand corrected. This was originally in the regular forum not the training forum.

A glass of warm water with honey and lemon in morning time with out eating anything, a balanced diet and running can help you to lose weight.

I'm not a nutritionist but I have seen several references to the Okinawan diet being the best

At the moment "intermittent fasting" is popular. I tried it. Lost weight fast but last check up my bloodwork was all fed up. Got off it. Now my bloodwork is normal. Currently on the diet recommended by Dr. John McDougal M.D. I don't know if it would work well for a competitive athlete or not but McDougal said it was successfully used by athletes in the 1930s. There are several Dr. McDougal lectures on you tube.

your 16. just workout and eat a lot of good healthy food to make sure you grow well. your metabolism should cause you to lose weight just from 1-2 hour boxing sessions.

don't be too ocd about stuff like this at your age (unless you look like you'll be a world beater), better to focus on your education or working towards your career/building a business.
