What's all this fan base BS from Hatton + Mayweather?

I think your spot on in that assessment, I dont think Ricky is the type of fighter who picks opponents based on how easy a nights work he is going to be, I honestly believe he's sincere in his wanting to fight the best but wont fight Witter for the reason you stated. Witter still isn't a draw or known fighter, despite being a champion and I feel sorry for him in that respect, I'd love to see this fight, but for the people saying Hatton is scared, I'd suggest that Mayweather is more a reason to be scared, but he went for glory regardless and came home on his shield.

I want to see this fight, but I wont hate him for not taking it, I do get pissed off with Hatton for talking about it so much, he'd get less abuse if he'd stayed quiet. I think people would accept that then a little more, as you can hear when Ricky's interviewed that as soon as Witter's name is mentioned he's almost snarling in his responses.

People may know FLoyd's name, but that doesnt mean they are going to by a $60 PPV to see him fight. Unless they have a decent understanding of boxing, it doesnt matter who he is. The people who know Floyd b/c of dancing with the stars only know that he is a champ. they probably no **** about boxing and definitely wouldnt buy a PPV event. The teenagers and young adults who are in love with WWE probably dont know **** about boxing either. Although, they might buy the PPV, I highly doubt it.
