mosley still knocked him out , mayorga still beat a great champ in vernon forrest :bbb twice and by the way mosley tor up collazo
berto life or death vs collazo , on top with bertos lack of stamina plus myorgas size advantage would put some hurt on berto if they had fought
point is mosley has world class power even at jr middle , and bertos been dropped by much weaker opposition :tired

    What?

    Logic or lack thereof?

    What's the point?

    Irrelevant?

    Sense?

The irony with that fight is that Mosley fought the exact same fight with the exact same ending as the Margarito fight, and yet he gets criticized for one performance and praised for the other one. Tell me how that makes any sense.

styles make fights. When you start to be over the hill a little bit you rely on being able to predict your opponents next move alot more because you lose some explosiveness.

Over a year ago I made a comparison between Mosley-Berto-Margarito and Hopkins-Taylor-Pavlik. Mosley saw everything that Margo was throwing at him and was able to react accordingly with pinpoint shots. Against Berto he will have a hard time seeing whats coming at him because Berto is far less predictable..

Difference is in opponents...Mayorga, at the time of the fight, was considered to be over the hill and at the end of his career.

Margarito, on the other hand, was coming off of the most impressive win of his career, and was considered to be the kingpin of the 147lb division and in his prime.

Big difference...most thought he should have stopped Mayorga sooner than he did...because of that, i actually picked Margarito to win the fight with Mosley...thinking that even though it was a bad style match-up for Margarito, Mosley was too old and too slow to effectively execute a gameplan against a man as tough as Margo.

    I was wrong...way wrong!!

Not only was i wrong about Mosley, I was wrong about Margarito...we all were.

So What  I am sure Mayorga approached his fights with Oscar and Felix, different than his fight with Shane.Ricardo thought he would have no trouble punking down Oscar and he could out hit Felix.Ricardo was wrong and paid for it,Ricardo had lost his confidence by the time he fought Shane and that's why we saw Ricardo fighting like an animal that night.Mayorga was in survival mode a totally different fighter than we saw in the past.He would not stand toe to toe and trade with mosley and when did you ever see Mayorga do that.Ricardo had a gameplan and that was to make that fight ugly as possible and maybe drop Shane with one of his haymakers.
