I've not been online since the fight, what has been the opinion (not yours individually but the entire community)? What's the ratio of folks who thought Pac had it vs those who thought JMM did?
A lot of opinions have been flying around about not only the fight, but the future surrounding Pac and May: About 80% of the forum had JMM as the clear winner. Floyd fans are having the time of their lives. Pac fans are bitterly diappointed. Some want a 4th to settle the score. Some are coming up with silly excuses. A lot of neutrals recognize the fight for the clash of styles it is. JMM will give Pacquiao trouble 10 times out of 10. A lot of resentment towards Arum who wants to make a fourth fight. Floyd fans have suddenly woken up and become disappointed in the prospect of Pac-May being delayed. The unneeded testing demands and vacations that have been dragging **** out of 2+ years, have magically been forgotten. That's about it, really. You've not missed much. Because this'll be the theme for the next 6 months if you stick around.
A Ring article compiled 20 experts (from Kim to Rafael to Iole), 12 had Marquez, 7 a Draw, and only 1 to Pacquiao. On this site, it's about 75% that say JMM clearly deserved the decision and was beneficial due to all of boxings financial, political, promotional, etc. drawbacks.
Arum also pretty much admitted to Marquez that he got jobbed. As soon as the decision was read, Arum was in the ring apologizing to Marquez and he told him, "It's just business."
OK that's fine. So 12 Marquez, 6 Draw, 1 Pacquiao. Even higher percentage gave it to Marquez then. Yes. It is at least 80%. Besides, half of the other 20% created their accounts "Nov. 2011" so, interesting agendas indeed...
