the only 2 persons that had the aura of invincibility to me were tyson and jones (from what I saw), pacquiao is there a bit but i dont think he is unbeatable, he is fighting way above where he should be.

I would say Mayweather has an equal amount of invincibility about him (but in a defensive/speed sort of way ala Ali).

I'd also say Hagler, Liston, Foreman all had that indestructable aura about them as well.

Question for anyone who watched boxing back in the days, did Rocky Marciano have that aura or not?

I was going to suggest Marciano but I think his aura has grown over the decades rather than during his actual time.

Even though Marciano annihilated Louis, Matthews, Savold, and Layne he was considered a crude brawler and rank outsider against Walcott for their title fight. Even after that win he was meant to eventually lose against a technically superior fighter (as put by critics).

I think there's slim to nil chance of somebody on ESB who grew up during that era that could provide some input. Somebody show them how to turn on a PC stat.

    Performance Enhancing Drugs you moron.

I wonder if this is the same being that he pledged to be faithful to his wife in front of. If so he sure has no problem lying and breaking promises.

Invicibility? Pac always looks beatable. He gets hit a lot and allows himself to get hit. That what made almost every boxer thinks they can beat him until... they get in the ring with him.

His beleif in God, and something better than himself is important IMO. He has said during 24/7s that God will pick who wins. Although, I'm a big christian myself, but not sure how I feel about God winning you the fight. Manny is very blessed though, very athletic, stays in superb shape, is the most determined fighter I've ever seen in my life...Those qualities win him the fights. A lot of fighters get disheartened, tired of the sport, and simply quit in there fights.
I do beleive the reason he doesn't is because he's fighting for god, the money to bless others (doesn't seem to be about himself), and through all the publicity the guy hasn't really changed is why he's so blessed. Somebody liek Mayweather in order to say he's blessed the guy has to get off on all criminal charges (that were self inflicted).
