Whats caused the problem between Tito Ortiz and Dana white?

I'm not sure, i've always wondered.
Be intresting to hear some reasons. :good

 

I think that Tito wanted money for the production of his boxing fight vs Dana and Dana didnt want any parti of it.

Tito always was saying UFC fighter should have more money

Tito was angry that the UFC didnt pay for his surgery for his back(well Ortiz is the only one to blame, the company insurance didnt want to pay because he said after the fight in the interview that he injured himself in training)

 

They've hated each other longer then that boxing match. Think about it, they where gonna box because they already hated each other. I personally believe it is jealousy of Chuck and how Dana treats him better then he did Tito. Plus the money issue.

Pride? EliteXC? Cage Rage? Bodogfight? All bankrupt.

Or Affliction, with massive amounts of debt?

 

If it wasnt for Tito the UFC wouldnt even be where it was today. Tito was brash and had a big mouth but there was a time when he was the face of the UFC and its bread and butter. They fell out because both have huge ego's and neither would bend.

 

Tito Ortiz is the real pionner of the UFC. He passed it to Chuck, but Tito is the real first one.

 

I agree with Quebec and Scur Tito is a gigantic reason why the UFC is where it is. I always felt like Dana has disrespected him on countless occassions. Im not kissing the mans ass but Zuffa owes Tito IMO. Danas the type of guy I could easily see and predict to keep Tito out of the UFCs Hall of Fame just because he feels like it and you can count on only one hand who deserves to be in it more then he does. I hope Tito goes to Strikeforce or something fights Babalu wins the belt and helps that company explode into the mainstream just to give White alittle bit of a scare.

 

I'm sorry but i can't see that happening if Tito were to go there and win a belt.

 

It's obvious to any knowledgable MMA fan that Tito is nothing more than a gatekeeper now.

I wouldn't rank him in the top 10 in the world anymore.

 

I don't have any credible sources handy for this, but I remember hearing a few things. I heard the fight garnered enough attention to get the state (Maybe Nevada's) athletic commission involved. White argued that it was not an event, and sanctioning was too expensive and unnecessary. The commission mandated that they sanction the fight if it were to take place with the intent of announcing a winner to the contest. The fight never happened.
