That guy is the worst most cliched uninformed reporter on any subject ever. He's got an annoying high pitched girly voice and he always plays to the lowest common denominator. He thinks if he says "reee-porting" after speaking that it makes up for the fact that he has no questions for the interviews and nothing to add to any area of life.
my job pertains to ad revenue based off of youtube videos so from speaking from experience, no.. Elie definitely can not support himself off of youtube.. his views are horrible.. decent amount of subscribers but not even close to enough views. http://www.youtube.com/xjawz is someone i work with from time to time and last year, he made over 300k off views on youtube. he prob had 300x Elie's views tho the other thing is he has no type of ad revenue deal which means he's making way less per viewer than the top youtubers.. my guess is he's signed a pretty shitty deal for CPM per 1000 views... a shitty deal was most likely offered b/c he gets very little views on his videos.
i counted and he put out 21 videos in 1 day. his total amount of views was 55,191. the day before he put out another 21 videos, probably getting about the same amount of views. if he can get 30k-50k views a day, he must be getting something edit: and he also put out 33 videos 5 days ago lol
I like the fact that he gives us 'behind the scenes' style footage, in actual boxing gyms with all sorts of people. That's pretty cool. His actual interviewing style is really annoying, though -- he asks ridiculous questions to get an extreme reaction, and rather than letting knowledgeable people actually speak at length, he constantly cuts them off and interrupts with different questions. That habit of interrupting people is probably his worst trait, as it can spoil interviews.
Yeah fair play for him getting out there, if I had limited intelligence and looked like an egg I'd probably just sign up to a boxing forum. Oh.
The worst of his videos is when he talks, if he could just video the boxers and get someone who has a clue about boxing to write down a load of questions, then he could stand behind the camera and hold up a sign with each question, this would be great
