What's everyones thoughts on George Groves?

IMHO, Groves is the best prospect we have. Can't speak highly enough of him:good.

 

+1 :good, he and gavin are the future british elite fighters. I rate lyndsey highly aswell...

 

Groves is a great fighter...he will beat Degale when they eventually meet...:yep

 

Him and Gavin are the best we've got at the moment. Price, Saunders, DeGale etc are all looking awful.

 

degale too cocky,price too inactive by the looks of things and saunders needs to sort out the wait.Surely he cant stay super-middle or else he's gonna get killed.fury is so untalented and jeffries is so over-rated.IMO groves and gavin,particularly gavin will go far

I rate Tony Jeffries, I think he is Britains best prospect and I think Joe Murray is a bit under-rated.

I was going to ask that as well. I'm all for supporting your own fighters (Billy can't really come on here and say 'such and such is better than this/that dude at my gym'), but this thread is about Groves and nobody else.

He'll be the outright British champ and Lonsdale owner in 2010 and also near a European title shot by the end of next year as well, IMO:deal. This bloke is different class.

 

George Groves has the potential to be one of the stars of World boxing in the next decade. If he remains level headed and listens to good advice when its given to him then I have no doubts that he will be a Ring Champion.

Also in his favour is that he is connected to Hayemaker promotions. He will be given a good education rather than a padding out start.
