What's final word? Did Cotto's cornermen check Marg's glove in 1st fight?

After seeing that 1st 24/7, and conflicting statements made, and from other sources, I can't figure this out.

Did one of Cotto's people check out Marg's gloves before they fought or not?

If no one was there, that's negligence.
If one was there, but did not take his job too seriously, that too is not properly assisting his fighter.

    Very interesting...

It implies, others are not sure either.

Team Margarito claims someone from Cotto's team was present, while Cotto's team says the opposite. Miguel Diaz is on record as saying he was supposed to be the one that observed Margarito's hands being wrapped that night, but did not because he was tied up with Cesar Canchila, who fought in the co-feature.

Margarito's camp keeps saying "someone" came and not giving any names. "Someone" would have remembered if it actually happened.
