Whats Geale got to do?

I think being an Olympic Gold Medallist, signed by Top Rank from day one and not to mention being half Mexican certainly were advantageous for ODLH.

Further the fact (and Arum openly admits to marketing too) that ODLH was appealing to the females. Arum used to say that female attendance was strong at his fights. ODLH also knows how to present himself well and hold himself well in interviews with media. With Daniel it's a snooze.

Circumstances are just the 'slight' bit different for the comparison to Geale I think your trying to draw too considering he lacks all of the above...

In the time since Geale won the belt, there would've been at least 5x more Mundine-related posts on here than Geale-related posts. If we're giving this kind of attention to Choc, we can't be blaming Joe Public for doing same.

Geale is destined to toil away in obscurity until he retires.

No Offence to Geale, But they are completely different fighters, Tszyu could knock out and elephant at anytime and Geale just toils away.

The public like excitement, Geale is a very skilled boxer but he doesnt bring excitement to the table, it would work against him.

I don't think Daniel Geale can do anything more than keep winning and keep trying to get his head in the news and on the footy shows. A fling with an established media tart would help things along. But his missus may not be too keen on the idea.

 

He can start by dragging his sloppily dressed gerkin out of hiding in Tasmania and fight a guy who isnt a complete bum.

Yeah Tzsyu was quiet and Humble and an excitement machine... Geale is quiet and humble but slightly on the boring side.... The public arent going to get behind him.

Mandy wasn't particularly exciting in the ring either, but he was in the media a lot because he was controversial. That stemmed from his football days.

Ok, Geale ain't exciting in the ring, nor is he controversial.
Don't forget though, you can't be something you're not, not everyone can bull**** like Mandy does, and sleep nights.
Mandy clearly has no conscience.

Let's just hope the idiotic public may find it in them to get behind a genuine good guy who is just doing his best at a sport he loves.
